In 2019, Warsaw and Dusseldorf celebrate their city partnership’s 30th anniversary. To honour this event, the curatorial duo Curated Affairs – originating from Poland and living in Germany – exhibits sculptural works by contemporary artists from both cities.

Art is not a self-contained product or event, divorced from the particulars of everyday life and independent of its social circumstances. Art, whichever form it takes, not only bears an intellectual relation to reality, it is molded in an active engagement with the world.

This temporary project will take place in the public areas of Zurich North. Organized by the city’s public art program and curated by Christoph Doswald the exhibition includes around 40 works by artists from all over the world that are installed at various locations.

The exhibition presents a selection of works acquired over the last five years by a specialist committee for the Contemporary Art Collection of the Federal Republic of Germany. It includes works by renowned young artists.

Every Cult it's Castle
Gil Bronner is returning to his roots and will show young art from his Duesseldorf Collection at Spinnerei Leipzig. As of the 16th of September 2017, the Philara collection will show young, aspiring positions from the collection in Leipzig, thereby partially focusing on relatively unknown graduates of the Art Academy of Duesseldorf.

Forgotten to talk
At the end of a narrowing tunnel a surface of 400 m² has been turned into four wall paintings by: Fabian Herkenhoener, Judith Kisner, Lydia Balke and Paul Czerlitzki; attended with traces of Melle de Boer. Here, painting is not negotiated as a medium but as an indigenous form of existence.

L'oeil du collectionneur - neuf collections particulières Strasbourgeoises

Ils sont neuf collectionneurs et collectionneuses à avoir accepté de dévoiler au Musée d’Art moderne et contemporain de Strasbourg une partie des œuvres qu’ils accumulent, conservent et font dialoguer dans l’intimité de leur domicile depuis des années. Le MAMCS invite, en effet, neuf personnalités d’horizons très différents à se confronter à l’exercice - voire au jeu - de l’exposition et à présenter au public les plus belles pièces issues de leur « jardin secret ».
